Rotary Gets Update on Adult Education

Kentland Rotarians got updated on changes that have taken place recently  in the Adult Education program here in Newton County. Dana Foland was the program for the August 22 meeting. She just started on July 1 as the Adult Education Director/Teacher for Newton County, replacing Vickie Lambert who retired after many years in that position.
Adult Education programs provide math, reading and writing instruction free of charge to help you acquire the skills needed to earn a high school equivalency diploma, go to college or enter an entry-level occupational certification program. The Newton County site also provides English as a second language training and may offer some basic computer training for Microsoft Word and Excel in the future.
The Newton County Adult Education office is located in the Government Center building in Morocco. Their office has recently moved and now shares space with WorkOne. Dana can be contacted with local number 474-6081 or toll free 888-663-9866.
