The Kentland Rotary Club met Monday, September 22 at the Steven Ryan Community Center.

The program, "The Economic Benefits Of Wind In Indiana", was presented by Connie Neininger, Director of Economic Development & International Trade with the Indiana Department of Agriculture.

Ms. Neininger discussed the reasons that wind-powered electricity generation projects have been sited in northwest Indiana, and some of the economic benefits that wind farms have brought to the area.  She also shared some of her experiences and insights gained as White County Economic Development Director during development of the Meadow Lake Wind Farm project a few years ago.
